Chris Harman started working with glass in 1993 at the Columbus College of Art and Design(CCAD), but left college shortly after that.  In 2000, he began making his own production work, and attending art/craft fairs.  He did glass demonstrations at the Works glass studio in Newark, and Franklin Park Conservatory in Columbus. Chris also taught glass classes at Glass Axis in Columbus.  In 2008 Chris received his BFA in glass, with honors from The Ohio State University.  He completed a residency at Hiroshi Yamano’s studio; Ezra Glass; in Fukui, Japan in 2009, and went on to pursue his Masters of Fine Arts at CCAD’s new MFA program. Since he completed his MFA in 2012, Chris has gone on to teach Design and Glass at CCAD, and did so until the spring of 2017.

In 2018 Chris, with his wife and now business partner Gwen, found an incredible opportunity in Delaware, Ohio that they couldn't pass up so they started the journey of opening a glass studio. They moved their family to Delaware and started rehabbing a 1940s' service station. Their current plan is to bring the hot shop into production, followed by the cold shop.  In 2019 the gift store and gallery will be rehabbed close to the original design, and will provide a place for local emerging artists to gain exposure.

Seventh Circle Glass Studio specializes in well designed functional production, commissions, and a small line of glass sculpture.
